Subsidies voor ontwikkelingssamenwerking

In 2011 investeert de Rijksoverheid € 4,6 miljard in ontwikkelingssamenwerking. Ongeveer de helft gaat direct naar arme landen en organisaties als de Verenigde Naties. De rest gaat als subsidies naar onder meer bedrijven en maatschappelijke organisaties. Bijvoorbeeld om in ontwikkelingslanden wegen te bouwen en ziektes als aids en malaria te bestrijden. Door bezuinigingen is er de komende jaren minder geld beschikbaar voor ontwikkelingssubsidies.
